Occasionally Fann Contracting, Inc. offers open registration(1) to local businesses for some of the following classes. Class fees range from $35 to $50 per attendee, dependent upon number of students enrolled and the type of training. Fees include breakfast snack, light lunch, beverages and class materials. Construction Survival Class (4) ~ Saturday, February 25 ~ 8 am to 12 pm (Fann Shop)
This is a mandatory class for those charged with an incident by the Safety Committee. Class must be taken within 90 days of your charged accident. This class is open to all employees whether or not charged with an incident.
FMCSA/Driver Log/HOS/Brake Adjustment Training (1) ~ Sat, March 4 ~ 8 am to 12 pm (Fann Shop)
This class is strongly recommended for all drivers and will cover driver training including FMCSA's new CSA Regulations (driver & carrier safety rating system), hours of service (HOS), RODS (log books), DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) as well proper brake adjustment, which drivers must have in order to legally make brake adjustments. This class combines three previous training classes into one to make it more convenient for drivers. This class also teaches drivers what they need to know in order to protect their safety rating scores, HOS regulations, instructions for filling out a driver's RODS and DVIR correctly and information on FMCSA's new Electronic Logging Device (ELD) regulations which take effect in December 2017.
TC Supervisor Training & the MUTCD (1) ~ Sat, March 18 ~ 8 am to 2:30 pm (Yavapai Title)
This class consists of traffic control safety for those employees who may be assigned to set up and tear down traffic control for a project. The class also includes training in traffic control plans, evaluating problems with traffic and how to handle them, and correct procedures, as well as training in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
*First Aid & Infant, Child & Adult CPR (3) ~ Sat, March 25 ~ 8 am to 12:30 pm (Yavapai Title)
This class covers general first aid and infant, child and adult CPR. This training and is recommended for all employees and is a required training for acceptance into Core Group. Attendance is limited and is on a first come, first served basis. Recommended renewal is every two years.
